A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF A
PARCEL OF SURPLUS PROPERTY TO THE REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
WHEREAS, on March 4, 1992, the City Council declared the
parcel of real property owned by the City of Baldwin Park
described as Assessor Parcel Number 8544-034-906 the Property")
to be surplus property; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Government Code Section
54222, the City sent a written offer to purchase the Property to
all entities required under the above referenced statute to
receive a notice of surplus property; and
WHEREAS, each entity receiving such notice has been
given sixty 6(1) days to respond to the offer to purchase; and
WHEREAS, no entity has responded to the notice of sale
of surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the City now desires to sell the Property to
the Baldwin Park Redevelopment Agency Agency") and the Agency
desires to purchase the Property from the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the sale
of the Property to the Baldwin Park Redevelopment Agency
Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Baldwin Park is
hereby authorized to execute a grant deed conveying the Property
to Agency.
Section 3. City staff is hereby authorized and
directed to take all action appropriate to effect sale of the
Property
Section 4. All applicable legal requirements for the
sale of surplus property have been met.
APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park this 6th day of May, 1992.
