Meeting was called to order by Mayor Bloxham at 7:30 P[Ti.
ROLL CALL: Present: Councilman Cole, Duskin, Roll Call
Little john, Scovotti and Bloxham,
City Clerk, City Attorney
Absent: City Treasurer
All members acknowledged receipt of notice of meeting.
The purpose of the meeting, ie.j purchase of public Public Liability
liability insurance was stated by the City ClerkL Insurance.
Mr. Stevens, assistant city attorney, then proceeded with Low bid of Inter-
duscussion of bids submitted, ending by recoimending state Indemnity
purchase of insurance from Interstate Indemnity Company Company accepted
of Los Angeles, the comWany making low bid. The City at premium of
Attorney and the City Administrator concurred in Mr, $4,858-76 for one
Stevens, recommendation. year.
The City Attorney informed the Council that in order to
accept this bid it would be necessary to amend the
specifications.
Moved by Mayor Bloxham, seconded by Councilman Duskin,
that the following resolution be adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as follows:
1. That the following provisions of the specifica-
tions for general comprehensive insurance policy of
the City of Baldwin Park be amended:
a) The City does hereby waive the requirement of
the rating in the latest edition of Best's In-
surance Guide as set forth in paragraph 1 of
the said specifications of the City of
Baldwin Park.
b) That the said specifications be modified to
permit the bidding company to assume as primary
insurance the amount of l0,000/;J2O,000 and
$10,000 property damage and that the excess
amounts be re-insured with an insurance
carrier acceptable to the City of Baldwin
Park."
The above motion was adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Cole, Duskin, Scovotti and Bloxham
NOES: Councilman Littlejohn
ABSENT None
Moved by Councilman Duskin, seconded by Mayor Bloxham,
that ve take the low bid of the Interstate Indemnity Company
in the amount of the bid being 1,858.76 for a period of
one year, effective midnight January 2,1957 in accordance
with the specifications for general comprehensive insurance
policy.
The above motion was adopted by the following vote:
