This agenda includes information about topics coming before the Stakeholders Oversight Committee and the action recommended by city staff. You can read about each topic in the staff reports, which are available on the city's website and in the Office of the City Clerk. Please note that, in the event of a technical issue causing a disruption in the call -in option or internet-based option, the meeting will continue unless otherwise required by law, such as when a Board Member is attending the meeting virtually pursuant to certain provisions of the Brown Act. RECOMMENDATION it is recommended that the Committee approve the Minutes of the Regular Measure BP Stakeholders Oversight Meeting held on February 11, 2025. INVOCATION The invocation was given by Vice Chair Pastor Jackson. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chair Lara. ROLL CALL City Clerk Saenz performed roll call. Rios 2) Greg Tuttle Seeing no one else wishing to speak, public communications was closed at approximately 5:18p.m. NEW BUSINESS 1. Presentation by David Volz Designs Landscape Architects, Inc. (DVA, consultant selected by the City to prepare a Concept Report for a Sports Complex withing the City. DVA will present the general parameters of the Concept Report process. SOC will provide feedback. Gary and Brian from David Volz Designs Landscape Architects, CEO Zaldivar, and Director Carillo provided an overview of the proposed sports complex. SOC offered feedback. The purpose of the meeting was to initiate a discussion on ideas and public engagement. Director Carillo also provided an update on the status of existing facilities, noting that the city currently has 0.3 acres of green space per 1,000 residents and will need to acquire additional space to meet future needs. 2. Measure BP Sales Tax Financial Update Rose Tam, Director of Finance, presented a financial update as of January 31, 2025. 3. Stakeholders Oversight Committee (SOC) ONovember 12, 2024, Meeting Minutes Motion to approve the Minutes of the Regular Measure BP Stakeholders Oversight Meeting held on November 12, 2024. MOTION: It was moved by Elmer Jackson, seconded by Estela Mata to adopt Motion Passed [6-0]. AYES: MATA, OROZCO, RODRIGUEZ, VAN NGUYEN, JACKSON, LARA STAKEHOLDERS OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE/STAFF REQUESTS & COMMUNICATIONS Member Rodriguez requested an update of the final distribution of the Community Empowerment Grants. CEO Zaldivar provided an update. Vice Chair Jackson requested an update on the denial of St. John the Baptist Grant Application. CEO Zaldivar provided an update. CEO Zaldivar reminded the SOC that the next meeting is March 11, 2025. ADJOURNMENT Chair Lara motioned to adjourn the meeting at approximately 6:17pm.
