A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK ESTABLISHING A TRUST AND AGENCY FUND FOR POLICE
TRAINING FOR THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Police Department of the City of Baldwin Park has an
established amount of funds appropriated by the City Council, which is to be used for expenses
associated with the training of police officers.
SECTION 2. That the Police Department attends training sponsored and eligible for
reimbursement from the Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training POST). Under current
General Fund accounting procedures POST reimbursements are not credited back to the Police
Department to enable additional training for other police officers.
SECTION 3. That the authority granted for making expenditures from Fund 1 50
Trust Fund) shall be limited to actual expenses that are associated with the direct training of police
officers. The Police Chief or his designated representative will be responsible for the approval of all
expenditures of funds from this account. In the event that the amounts of expenditures exceed money
received there shall be required a transfer of funds from the General Fund to the Trust Fund which shall
ensure adequate funds exist for the training of police officers.
SECTION 4. That revenues associated with the reimbursement or donation of funds
for the purpose of training shall be deposited in the Trust Fund for the purposes designated in Section
3 above.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
