HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 827ORD 827ÜÂh£ŸjìÒÔORDINANCE NO. 827 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAU3WIN PARK AMENDING THE ZONING OF SAID CITY, AND REZCNING CERTAIN HEREIN DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY TO CONFORM TO THE GENERAL PLAN. ZONE CHANGE CASE NO. Z-431 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DCES ORDAIN AS FOLLCM3: SECTION 1. That notwithstanding the provisions of Section 9310 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, that certain real property located in the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described hereafter, are rezoned as follows: a. Change in Zone: From Zone C-2, General Ccrrmercial to Zone R-3 PD), High Density Residential Planned Develop- msnt as to the following parcels: Book 8551, Page 9, Parcels 53,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23, 24,25,26,27,28, and Book 8551, Page 10, Parcels 21,22,23,24, of the County Assessors Records. b. Change in Zone: From Zone C-2, General Ccrrroercial to Zone R-G PD), Residential Garden Planned Development as to the following parcels: Book 8551, Page 10, Parcels 25,26,27,28,29 portions of Parcels 36,37,38, of the County Assessors Records. c. Change in Zone: Frcm Zone C-2, General Commercial to Zone R-l, Single Family Residential as to the following parcels: Book 8551, Page 10, Parcels 39,40,41,42,43, and Book 8551, Page 9, Parcels 29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37, 38,39,43,44,45,46,47,48,49, of the County Assessors Records. d. That the property to which said zone change application relates is located generally east of Bames Avenue, south of Ramona Boulevard, west of the Los Angeles, Department of Water and Pcwer right-of-way, and north of Salisbury Street. SECTION 2. That the City Planner shall amsnd the Official Zoning Map" of the City of Baldwin Park to reflect such changes to conform to the City of Baldwin Park General Plan as amended by City Council July 15, 1981. SECTION 3. That the City Council, at the ttrre of the public hearing relating to the zone changes. Case No. Z-431 determined subject to Section 15067 of the California Environmental Quality Act, that no environmental assessment is required. SECTION 4. lhat the Council does hereby find as follows: a) State law requires the proposed changes. b) The properties involved in the proposed zoning are more suitable for the purposes permitted in the present zone. c) The uses permitted by the proposed zones are not detrirrental to surrounding properties. d) The proposed zone changes are not contrary to the spirit and intent of the General Plan or its elenents. e) That the proposed zone changes are a logical and rational classification of the land. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17th day of Septenfoer, 1981.
