AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ADDING
CHAPTER 12 TO ARTICLE III OF THE
BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO POLICE DOGS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 12 is hereby added to Article III of
the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, to read as follows:
CHAPTER 12 POLICE DOGS"
3950. INTERFERENCE WITH DOGS UTILIZED BY THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT PROHIBITED. It shall be unlawful for any person to
wilfully tease, taunt, torment, strike, kick, mutilate, disable,
distract, or otherwise injure, or kill, or to interfere with the
function of any dog while such animal is being utilized by the
Police Department, or any officer or employee thereof, in the
performance of any function or duty of said department, or of
such officer or employee."
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
hereof and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by
law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7 day of/April 1982.

I, LINDA L. GAIR, City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park, do
hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 836 was regularly introduced
and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 17th day of Marcn, 1982. That, thereafter, said
Ordinance was duly approved and adopted at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 7thday of April 1982, by the following
vote:
