AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING
THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE
EXPANDING USES PERMITTED AND USES
PERMITTED BY CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
IN THE C-l, NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL
ZONE CASE NO. AZC-85)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby
find, determine and declare as follows:
a. That on the 14th day of July, the Planning Commission held a duly
noticed public hearing on the application for an Amendment, to the
Baldwin Park Zoning Code.
b. The Changes provide for the protection of the health, safety and
welfare of the residents of Baldwin Park.
c. The changes are not detrimental to properties in the City.
d. The changes are consistent with the spirit and intent of the
General Plan.
SECTION 2. That subsection A of Section 9611 of the Baldwin Park Zoning
Code is hereby amended by the addition of the following subparagraphs:
9611. Uses Permitted.
10. Apparel shops.
11. Automobile supply stores.
12. Dance studios.
13. Dry cleaners.
14. Florist shops.
15. Hardware stores.
16. Hobby shops.
17. Martial arts studios.
18. Pet stores.
19. Any other use as determined to be a permitted use by
the Director, pursuant to Section 9205 hereof"
SECTION 3. That Section 9612 of the Baldwin Park Zoning Code is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of the following subsections:
9612. Uses Permitted by a Conditional Use Permit.
H. Drive-up, drive-thru establishments.
I. Retail sale of used clothing."
SECTION 4. That the City Council has considered the initial study conducted
pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act. That the Staff's findings
relating to such study are hereby adopted as findings of the Planning Commission
and that the City Council does hereby certify that the Negative Declaration was
prepared and filed in accordance with all applicable laws, guidelines and regulations
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 840 was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 18th day of September 1982. That, thereafter, said
Ordinance was duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 1st day of September, 1982, by the following vote:
