HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 888ORD 888pT3(Ìì⦠I ORDINANCE NO. 888 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING A CHANGE OF ZONE FROM OS, OPEN SPACE TO ZONE I, INDUSTRIAL. APPLICANT: CITY OF BALDWIN PARK REDEVELOPHENT AGENCY; CASE NO.: Z-451; LOCATION: 22.3 ACRES OF A PORTION OF THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE DELTA REDEVELOP- MENT PROJECT. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find, determine, and declare as follows: a) That an application for a change of zone from Zone OS, Open Space to zone I, Industrial was submitted by the City of Baldwin Park Redevelopment Agency for property located on a portion of the southern half of the Delta Redevelopment project located southerly of the 1-10 Freeway, easterly of the San Gabriel River westerly of the 1-605 Freeway and northerly of the Baldwin Park City boundary, as shown by Exhibit D" and more specifically described as: That portion of land located within the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, bounded as follows: on the east by the westelry right-of-way line of the Interstate 605 Freeway San Gabriel River Freeway, width varies), on the south by the northerly right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad 100 feet wide), and on the west and north by the southerly right-of-way line of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District width varies); Los Angeles County Assessor's parcel number as it existed on November 16, 1984) 8564 012 907; and b) That a duly noticed public hearing was held upon said matter by the Planning Commission, and based upon the evidence presented, it determined that the public necessity, convenience, and general welfare required that it recommend, the approval of the reclassification to zone I; Industrial; and c) That the City Council conducted a duly noticed hearing on said matter, and based upon the evidence presented, and each member being familiar with the site, it was determined that the public interest, necessity, convenience, and general welfare require the change in zone classification, herein described. SECTION 2. That notwithstanding the provisions of Section 17.54 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, the zoning classification of the Property is hereby reclassified from zone OS, Open Space to zone I, Industrial. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause a copy of the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law.
