AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
BALDWIN PARK AMENDING TITLE 3 OF THE
BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO REVENUE AND FINANCE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTICN 1. Than Chapter 3.30 is hereby added to Title 3 of the
Baldwin Park Municipal Code, consisting of Sections 3.30.010 through 3,30.020,
inclusive, to read as follows:
CHAPTER 3.30. MISOTT.T.ANEOUS GENERAL TAXES
Section 3,30.010. Imposition of Construction Tax.
There is hereby imposed a general tax upon privilege of
obtaining a building permit for the construction of one-family
dwelling units and/or dwelling units and/or condominiums. The
tax shall be due and payable prior to the issuance of a building
permit allowing the construction of such one-family dwelling
units and/or dwelling units and/or condcniiniums.
Section 3.30.020. Rate of Construction Tax.
The general tax imposed pursuant to Section 3.30.010 of
this Code shall be $125.00 for each bedroom included within a
one-family dwelling units/ dwelling unit or a condominium unit/-
provided that the total tax due hereunder shall not exceed
$500.00 per one family dwelling unit, dwelling unit or
condominium unit-
For the purpose of this Chapter the phrases dwelling
unit," condominium," one family dwelling" shall have the
meanings ascribed to them as is set forth in the Baldwin Park
Zoning Code Chapter 17 of this Code)
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance, imposing a general tax for
the usual and current expenses of the City, shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption pursuant to Section 36.936 of the Government Code.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in the manner pre-
scribed by law.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 889 was regularly introduced
and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council
on the 6th day of February, 1985. That, thereafter, said Ordinance was duly
approved and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 20th
day of February 1985, by the following vote:
