AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING THE BALDWIN
PARK MUNICIPAL CODE WITH REFERENCE TO THE
SALES AND USE TAX ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE
CREDIT FOR PAYMENT OF SALES AND USE TAXES
PAID TO THE BALDWIN PARK REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find/ determine and declare as follows;
A. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park the City") has heretofore adopted the Uniform Local Sales
and Use Tax Ordinance, consisting of Chapter 3.24 of Title 3 of
the Baldwin Park Municipal Code the City Sales and Use Tax
Law") pursuant to the Bradley-Burns Uniform Local Sales and Use
Tax Law of the State of California, consisting of Part 1.5 of
Division 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of
California the Code"); and
B. That the Baldwin Park Redevelopment Agency the
Agency") is authorized pursuant to Section 7202.6 of the Code
to adopt a sales and use tax ordinance with the provisions of
said Section 7202.6, and the Agency proposes to adopt such an
ordinance at this time; and
C. That Section 7202.6 of the Code provides that
the Agency may adopt such sales and use tax ordinance if the
City Ordinance contains the provision described in Section
7202.5 of the Code providing a credit under the City Ordinance
for the amount of sales and use taxes due to the Agency; and
D. That the City Council, by the enactment of this
Ordinance, shall be deemed to have consented and approved the
adoption of such sales and use tax ordinance by the Agency.
SECTION 2. The City Ordinance is hereby amended by
adding a new Section 3.24-155 to the Baldwin Park Municipal
Code, to read in its entirety as follows:
SECTION 3.24.155. CREDIT FOR TAXES DUE TO
BALDWIN PARK REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY-
Any person subject to a sales and use tax under
the provisions of this Chapter shall be entitled
to credit against the payment of taxes due under
this Chapter the amount of sales and use taxes due
to the Baldwin Park Redevelopment Agency pursuant to
Section 7202.6 of the Revenue and Taxation Code
of the State."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause this Ordinance to be
published in the manner prescribed by Law-

was regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at
a REGULAR MEETING of the City Council on the 16th day of
October, 1985. That, thereafter, said Ordinance was duly
approved and adopted at a REGULAR MEETING of the City Council
on the 6th day of November, 1985, by the following vote:
