HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 0979ORD 0979pT3(ÌìÞORDINANCE NO. 979 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING CHAPTERS 17.21, 17 23, AND 17.25 OF THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO FREESTANDING SIGNS CITY OF BALDWIN PARK; CASE NO.: AZC-118). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Subdivision B of Sections 17.21.040 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: B. Signage. The provisions of Chapter 17.32 shall apply to all uses placed or to be placed on lots class- ified in the F-C zone except that no freestanding sign shall be permitted on any lot classified in zone F-C except as provided in this subsection, B. Each such lot may have one monument sign per lot, provided that its total background face area shall not exceed one square foot for each lineal foot of street frontage of the lot, or one hundred square feet, whichever is less. The maximum height of such monument sign shall not exceed nine feet. Each such lot having retail commercial use as a primary use and having at least three hundred feet of street frontage parallel to and located within 100 feet of a freeway, may have one freestanding sign not to exceed forty feet in height and three hundred square feet in background sign area. For the purpose of this section/ monument sign' means a sign meeting the standards set forth on Diagraiti M attached to this Code and incorporated herein by this reference." SECTION 2.
