AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING SECTION
5.56.020 OF THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO TEMPORARY USE PERMITS
URGENCY)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. That Subdivision B of Section 5.56.020 is hereby
amended to read as follows;
B. Limitations on Permits:
1). Duration: No permits issued for activities
enumeratedin subsections 1,2,3,4,5 and 7 of
subdivision A hereof shall be for a period of
time logger than four 4) consecutive calendar
days; permits issued pursuant to subsection 6 of
subdivision A hereof, shall be limited to a
period of not to exceed thirty 30) consecutive
calendar days; and
2) Number of Permits; there shall be a maximum
of two permits issued per year for any one
location and a maximum of two permits issued per
year to any one applicant, provided that the
limitation on the number of permits based upon
location shall not apply to shopping centers
having ian area of ten 10) or more acres.
SECTION 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an
urgency measure and s^iall take effect immediately upon its
adoption. A statement of facts constituting the basis of its
urgency is as follows; centers involving a number of different
uses need to conduct sbecial events to maintain and increase
business; and the condupt of such periodic events is necessary to
the continued economic twell being of such centers and this City;
that the public interest, convenience and necessity require the
immediate adoption of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. That thp City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published or
posted in the manner prelscribed by law.
