AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING SECTION
8.08.130 OF THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL
CODE TO PROVIDE FOR RECOVERY OF COSTS FOR
ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 8.08.130 of Title 8 of
the Baldwin Park Municipal Code is hereby amended to read
as follows:
8.08.130 Alternates. Nothing in this chapter
shall be deemed to prevent the city council from
ordering the city attorney to commence a civil
action to abate a nuisance in addition, alterna-
tively to, or in conjunction with, the
proceedings processed pursuant to this
Chapter. Should the city attorney be directed
to bring a civil action to this section, the
actual expenses and costs of maintaining such
an action, including, but not limited to,
reasonable attorney's fees, shall be recovered
pursuant to Section 8,08,100 et seq. of this
Code."
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify
the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be
published in the manner prescribed by law.

passed and approved at a regular meeting of the City
Council on 4th day of May 1988, by the
