AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING THE BALDWIN
PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
INFRACTIONS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 1.20.010 of the Baldwin
Park Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
1.20.010 Violations. misdemeanors.
infractions. A. Any person violating
any of the provisions/ or failing to
comply with any of the mandatory
requirements, of this Code, or any
ordinance of the City, shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor/ unless the violation
thereof/ pursuant to this Code or such
Ordinance, is expressly made an
infraction.
B. Except where a different punishment
is lawfully prescribed, a person
convicted of a misdemeanor for violation
of this Code, or any ordinance of the
City/ shall be punishable by a fine of
not more than One Thousand Dollars
$1,000.00) or by imprisonment not to
exceed six 6) months, or by both such
fine and imprisonment.
C. Any person convicted of an
infraction for violation of this Code, or
any ordinance of the City, shall be
punishable by:
1. A fine not exceeding Fifty Dollars
$50.00) for a first violation of a
specific section of this Code or
any Ordinance of the City; and
2. A fine not exceeding One Hundred
Dollars $100.00) for a second
violation of the same section of
this Code or the same Ordinance of
the City occurring within one
calendar year.
D. A third violation of the same
section of this Code or other ordinance
of the City, a violation is which is
declared to be an infraction, by the same
person occurring within a period of one
calendar year/ shall be a misdemeanor and
shall be punishable as such.

issue citations for violations of this
Code which are declared to be
infractions.
F, Notwithstanding any other provision
of this Code, a violation of any one of
the following sections of this Code shall
be deemed to be an infraction:
