HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1009ORD 1009pT3(ÌìÀÌ ORDINANCE NO. 1009 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING CHANGES IN ZONE CLASSIFICATION FOR CERTAIN REAL PROPERTIES APPLICANT: BALDWIN PARK; CASE NO.: Z-483). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find, determine and declare that: a) That the City heretofore initiated a change in zone classification for certain real properties, located in the City of Baldwin Park, described more particularly as Exhibit A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference Properties"); and b) That duly noticed public hearings were held on said matter by the.Planning Commission and City Council, and based upon the evidence presented, it was determined that the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the approval thereof. SECTION 2. That notwithstanding the provisions of Section 17.O60.02 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, the Properties described on Exhibit A", are hereby reclassified to the zones as set forth on Exhibit A", as of the operative date of this Ordinance. SECTION 3. That the California Environmental Quality Act, as amended, has been complied with insofar as the above matter is concerned, by the operation and certification of a Final Environmental Impact Report. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the manner prescribed by law. PASSED AND APPROVED ON FEBRUARY 1 1989. A public hearing to consider these cases will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 1989 at 7:00 P.M. by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park in the Morgan Park Activities Room, 14255 Ramona Boulevard. All interested persons may appear and be heard at that time. The proposed changes involve a complete update of the City's current general plan, including the adoption of the following general plan elements: Land Use, Housing, Conservation and Open Space, Public Safety, Public Services and Facilities, Municipal Revenue/Fiscal Impact, Circulation, and Noise. The draft General Plan will be available for review at the Planning Division and Public Library during normal office hours. The proposed zone changes are being considered in order to make the city S zoning map consis- tent with the proposed Land Use Element Map of the General Plan. The shaded areas on the map to the right, show the areas proposed 0 change. This notice has been mailed to owners of properties within a 300 foot radius of the properties proposed to be changed.
