AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ADDING CHAPTER 1.30 OF
THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 3. That Chapter 1.30, Section 1.30.010 entitled
P.O.S.T. Requirements", is hereby added to the Baldwin Park
Municipal Code to read as follows:
CHAPTER 1.30 P.O.S.T. REQUIREMENTS"
1.30.010 Public Safety Dispatcher Program. A. The City
of Baldwin Park desires to qualify to receive aid from the State of
California under provisions of section 12522, Chapter I, of Title
4, Part 4 of the California Penal Code. Pursuant to section
13510(c), Chapter I, the Baldwin Park Police Department will adhere
to standards for recruitment and training established by the
California Commission on Peace officer Standards and Training
P.O.S.T.). Pursuant to section 13512, Chapter I, the Commission
and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed
appropriate by the Commission to ascertain that the Baldwin Park
Police Departments' Public Safety Dispatcher personnel adhere to
the standards for selection and training established by the
Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training."
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption hereof, and cause the same to be published in the manner
prescribed by law.

regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at
a March 1, 1989 regular meeting of thereafter, said Ordinance was duly
approved and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 15th day of March by the following vote:
