AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING THE
BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
DEPARTMENT HEADS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Subsection B of Section 2.56.050 of the
Baldwin Park Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
B. City Council Appointees-Department Heads. The
positions hereinafter set forth in this Subsection, B,
constitute the Department Head positions of the City.
Temporary and permanent appointments to, and removals from,
any Department Head position shall be made by the City
Council, only after consultation with the city Manager. Each
appointee to a Department Head position shall serve in such
position at the will and pleasure of the City Council. No
appointment to, or dismissal from, any Department Head
position shall be made except upon the affirmative votes of
not less than three 3) members of the City Council, upon a
motion duly made, seconded and carried at a regular or
special meeting of the City Council. The Department Head
positions to which the provisions of this Subsection, B,
apply are as follows:
1) Director of Administrative Services;
2) Director of Community Services;
3) Director of Housing and Economic Development;
4) Director of Human Services; and
5) Police Chief."
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published in the manner
prescribed by law.
