AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING
SECTION 5.36.010 OF THE BALDWIN PARK
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO MASSAGE
PARLORS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That subdivision A of Section 5.36.010 of the
Baldwin Park Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
A. Massage' means any method of treating the superficial
soft parts of the human body, for remedial hygienic or other
purposes, consisting of rubbing, stroking, kneeding or any
similar treatment, accomplished by hand or by the use of any
instrument; massage' shall also mean and include the method
of treating the superficial soft parts of the human body
commonly known as acupressure'."
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the
manner prescribed by law.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 1024 was
regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a
regular meeting of the City Council on August 16, 1989. That,
thereafter, said Ordinance was duly approved and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council on September 6, 1989, by the
following vote:
