A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AUTHORIZING AN
ESTIMATE OF POPULATION OF THE CITY OF
BALCWIN PARK BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
FINANCE
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park can actually show,
as a result of a Special State Department of Finance Population
Estimate as of March I, 1962, a population of 56,950 and
WHEREAS, a procedure has been devised whereby the
State Department of Finance may estimate a city's population
growth for the purpose of allocating State subventions and
grants, and
WHEREAS, the Regional Planning Commission released
figures estimating the City of Balcfcvin Park's population as of
January I, 1965, at 59,299,
IT IS, THEREFORE, RESOLVED that:
SECTION I. The State Department of Finance is here-
by authorized to conduct a special survey to determine a popu-
lation estimate for the City of Baldwin Park as of March I,
1965, with the cost for said services to be based on actual
time spent in the performance of said survey.
SECTION II. A sum not to exceed $400.00 is hereby
allocated for this purpose.
SECTION III. The Mayor and appropriate City officials
are authorized to execute an agreement on behalf of the City of
Baldwin Park with the State Department of Finance.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3 day of April 1965.
