A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING
THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN INITIATED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DES-
CRIBED HEREIN AND DES13NATED
ANNEXATION NO. 15"
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve
as follows;
SECTION I. That, pursuant to the provision of the Annexa-
tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1959, proceedings have been
Initiated by the Council of the City of Baldwin Park, on its own
motions, to annex to the City of Baldwin Park all that uninhabited^
territory situated in the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
hereby designated as Annexation No. 15", and described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the westerly boundary of the City
of Baldwin Park, as said boundary existed on April 15, 1965, said
angle point being also an angle point in the northerly line of the
land conveyed to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District,
500 feet wide at this point) in Parcel 116 in a Final Order of
Condemnation had in Superior Court Case No. 625515, a certified
copy of which is recorded in Book 51842, page 554, of Official
Records in the office of the Recorder of said County, and which
angle point if further shown as being in the easterly prolongation
of the southerly line of Lot 25 of Tract No. 26572, as per map
recorded in Book 675, pages 95 and 96 of Maps, in the office of said
Recorder, distant therein, easterly 104.84 feet from the southeasterly
corner of said Lot 25; thence South 7° 521 21" East along said westerly
boundary of the City of Baldwin Park 97.92 feet, more or less to a line
which bears South 87° 57' 24" West from the westerly terminus of a line
which in turn, bears North 88° l61 56" West 299.59 feet from a point
in the center line of Baldwin Park Boulevard, 60 feet wide, shown as
Covina Street on map of Tract No. 718 recorded in Book 17, page 17 of
said Maps, distant therein. North 58° 29' 54" East 555.97 feet from a
monument set by the Surveyor of said County and as shown on Los Angeles
County Flood Control District Right-of-Way Map filed in the office of
the County Engineer of said County as County Surveyor's Filed Map No.
12407-4, for the local ion of the intersect ion of sai d center line of
Baldwin Park Boulevard with the northerly line of 0, T, Bassett's Sub-
division of the Workman Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 59,
pages 4 to 9, inclusive, of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of
said Recorder; thence South 87° 571 24" West 152.55 feet, more or less,
to a point which is South 87° 57' 24" West 506.56 feet and North 88°
l61 56" West 299.59 feet from said point in said center line of Baldwin
Park Boulevard; thence North 9° 071 26" West 70.80 feet; thence South
86° 451 II" West to the southerly prolongation of the westerly line of
Lot 24 of said Tract No. 26572; thence northerly along said southerly
prolongation to the southerly boundary of the City of Baldwin Park, as
said Boundary existed on April 15, 1965; thence easterly along said
Boundary of the City of Baldwin Park to the point of beginning,

1963 071 CC RESO¼òw @| - Å SECTION 2. Thai- the Council of the Ct-t-y of Baldwin Park
desired to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Baldwin
Park for the following reasons: The territory is contiguous to the
City of Baldwin Park, is uninhabited and its proposed annexation
will contribute to and facilitate the orderly growth and development
of both the City and the territory proposed to be annexed.
SECTION $. That t-he County Boundary Commission of Los
Angeles County, California, did in session duly assembled, approve
the proposed annexatSon boundaries of said annexation as above des-
cribed and as submitted to said Commission by the Council of the
City of Baldwin Park.
SECTION 14.. That Wednesday, Jujy 17_________, 1965,
at the hour of 8s00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall
in the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, California, is
hereby fixed as the time and place when and where the City Council
will hear protests made by any person owning real property within the
uninhabited territory described above and proposed to be annexed to
the City of Baldwin Park. Such protests must be in writing, and may
be filed with the Clerk at any time prior to the final adjournment of
said hearing; and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners
of property affected, and the description and area of such property,
in genera t terms.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park is
hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be
posted as required by law, and to be published at least twice, but not
of^-cner than once a week, in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, a news-
paper of general circulation, printed and published outside of said
City of Baldwin Park, but m the County of Los Angeles, California,
the County in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed
to the City of Baldwin Park said publication to be complete at least
twenty days prior to the date set for hearing.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk is further authorized and directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to
each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed
is assessed in the last eqidized county assessment roll available on
the date the above said proceedings were initiated, at the addresses
shown on said assessment roll or known to the Cle^ and to any person
who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands
in which he has an interest, either legal or equitable, with the Clerk,
such notice to be given not less than twenty days before the first
public hearing on tthe proposed annexation.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
th 7s resolution.
