HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963 076 CC RESO1963 076 CC RESO¼òw @|-åRESOLUTION NO. 65-76 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK CALLING FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE 20TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1965, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO TtiE ELECTORATE THE PROPOSITION: SHALL ORDINANCE NO. 2^1 BE ADOPTED. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find, determine and declare, as follows; a) That the said Council, on May I, 1965, adopted Ordinance No. 2J4.1, re^oning certain therein described real proper 1-y, from zones A-1 and M-I to zones R-l and C-2, denominated Zone Change case No. Z-125", and b) That a valid and sufficient Referendum Petition was timely filed, protesting against the adoption of said Ordinance No. 2l+l; and c) That the said Council has declined to repeal said Ordinance No. 2i4.1. SECTION 2. That a special election be held, and the same is hereby called to be held in the City of Baldwin Park, California, on the 20th day of August, 1965, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said City the proposition; shall Ordinance No. 2i4.1 be adopted. SECTION 5. That the polls for said election shall be opened at seven o^lock A.M. of the day of said election and shall be opened continuously from said time until seven o^lock P.M. of the same day, when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section lU^ of the Elections Code of the State of Cali fornia. SECTION U. That on the ballots to be used, at said special election, in addition to any other matters as required by law, there shall be printed substantSally the following; MARK CROSSES +) ON BALLOT ONLY WITH RUBBER STAMP NEVER WITH PEN OR PENCIL.
