A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO
PERMIT THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY
TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK, RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF
A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN
SAID CITY ON AUGUSTS), 1965.
WEREAS, a sped a I mun icipa t eled ion is to be held
in the CJty of Baldwin Park on August 2Q 1965; and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and
in relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots
and polling place cards to the registered voters of the City, and
it will facilitate such mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the
County of Los Angeles will prepare and furnish the City the im-
printing of the names and addresses of the registered voters of
said City on I.B.M. polling place card forms furnished by the
City and after bursting the forms, will insert the polling place
card and sample ballot into envelopes, all to be furnished by the
City; and
WHEREAS, alI necessary expense in performing this ser-
vice shall be paid by the City of Baldwin Park;
NCW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER, as follows:
SECTION I, That pursuant to the provisions of Section
22005 of the Elections Code of the State of California, this City
Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to
permit the Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to said City,
for use in conducting said election to be held on August 20, 1965,
the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters
of said City on I.B.M. polling place card forms furnished by the
City and after bursting the forms, to insert the polling place
card and sample ballots into envelopes, all to be furnished by the
City.
SECTION 2. That said City shall reimburse said County
for services performed when the work is completed and upon pre-
sentation to the City of a properly approved bill.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said
Registrar of Voters, each a certified copy of this resolution,
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 9^ day of
June________ 1965.

WHICH NO ARGUMENTS FOR OR AGAINST
A CITY MEASURE MAY BE SUBMITTED
TO THE CITY CLERK
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Special Municipal
Election is to be held in the City of Baldwin Park on August 20,
1965, at which there will be submitted to the qualified ejectors
of said City the following city measure:
Referendum. Shall Ordinance Number 21^1
of the City of Baldwin Park, which rezones
certain therein described real property
from Zones A-I and M-l to Zones R-l and C-2
denominated Zone Change Case No. 125"
be adopted.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to Article U,
Chapter 5, Division 4 of the Elections Code of the State of
California the legislative body of said City» or any member or
members thereof author!red by such body, or any indi viduaI voter
or bona fide association of citizens, or any combination of such
voters and associations, may file a written argument, not to
exceed 500 words in length, for or against said city measure.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that. based upon the time
reasonably necessary to prepare and print the arguments and sanple
ballots for said election, the City Clerk has fixed July 8, 1965*
as a reasonable date prior to such election after which no
arguments fcr or against said city measure may be submitted to
her for printing and distribution to the voters as provided in
said Article 4. Arguments shall be submitted to the City Clerk
at the City Hall, liLfi^ East Pacific Avenue, Balcwin Park,
California. Arguments may be changed until and including said
date fixed by the City Clerk.
