The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE and ORDER as follows: SECTION 1. COMPENSATION OF ELECTIVE OFFICERS* Elective officers shall be compensated as provided by law, which, for the sake of convenience, is set forth as follows s OFFICE COMPENSATION 1. Mayor $75.00 per month 2• Councilmen each) 50*00 per month 3» City Treasurer as such) 75•00 per month 4, City Clerk as such) 350.00 per month SECTION 2. SALARIES OF APPOINTIVE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES The salaries of appointive officers and employees, not otherwise prescribed, shall be as follows, effective July 1, 1963- FIXED ADMINISTRATIVE SERIES POSITION SALARY 1• Chief Administrative $1100,00 per month Officer 2. City Engineer & Director of 3l6 857 900 945 993 Public Works SECTION 3. EXPLANATION OF CLASSIFIED PAY PLAN. The pay plan for the classified series shall be applied as follows: A. SCHEDULE NUMBERS• The column headed Schedule Numbers" contains a list of the schedule numbers assigned to the various positions in the classified series. B" PAY STEPS. Step A" represents the starting level of pay. After six 6) months of satisfactory service has been completed, the pay shall be advanced to Step B"; thereafter the pay shall be advanced to the next higher step after one 1) year of satisfactory service in the current step, provided the Department Head recommends and the Chief Administrative Office approves such advancement, C. ANNIVERSARY DATES* The period of satisfactory service toward step advancement shall begin on the anniversary date* Anniversary dates shall fall on the 1st or 15th day of the month for all entry steps* step increases, reclassifi- cations or promotions, whichever is closest to the actual date the employee commences work or is advanced. SECTION 4. DIFFERENTIAL PAY, Whenever the work week for any officer or employee consists of one of the following, the basic salary for such officer or employee shall be adjusted as hereinafter indicated, ASSIGNMENT ADD 1» Motor Officer 5% of current salary 2. Investigator or Detective 5% of current salary 3. Detective Sergeant 5% of current salary SECTION 5. PAY PERIODS* There shall be two pay periods in every month. The first pay period shall be from the 1st through the 15th of the month; the second pay period shall/- be from the l6th through the last day of the month* SECTION 6. DATES WHEN SALARIES ARE TO BE PAID* Salaries and compensation earned during the second pay period shall be paid on the 5th day of the following month} salaries and compensation earned during the first pay period shall be paid on the 20th day of the month. This resolution may be changed or modified at any time by the City Council. SECTIONS. Resolution No. 62-18$ adopted Sept. 4> 1962, and all resolutions, or portions thereof, that are in conflict with the provisions of thts resolution are hereby repealed* ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor, and attested by the City Clerk this 3rd day of July, 1963» ATTEST: y^4^ T" A^ Thelma L.
