A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING THE RESULT
OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON THE 20TH
DAY OF AUGUST 1965, AND DECLARING THE RE-
SULT OF THE CANVASS OF THE VOTES CAST AT
SAID ELECTION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOW:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Bald-
win Park does hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That a special municipal election was
held and conducted within the City of Baldwin Park
on the 20th day of August 1965, at which time the
following measure was submitted to the electorate
of said City:
City of Baldwin Park Referendum. Shall
Ordinance No. 241 of the City of Baldwin
Park, which rezones certain therein de-
scribed real property from Zones A-l and
M~l to Zones R-l and C-2, denominated
Zone Change Case No. Z125', be adopted?"
b) That notice of said election was duly
given, and said election was held and conducted
in all respects in conformity with the applicable
provisions of Elections Code of the State of Cali-
torn ia;
c) That for the purpose of said election
there were twenty-three 25) precincts and poll-
ing places established within the said City, and
a total of two thousand, four hundred and forty-
eight 2,448) votes were cast at said election;
d) That the results of said election were
duly canvassed by the City Council in the time,
manner and form, provided by law, on the 27th day
of August, 1965.
SECTION 2. That attached hereto, marked Exhibit A"
and incorporated herein by this reference is that certain document
entitled Clerk's Statement of Results of Baldwin Park Special
Election held on August 20th, l965".
SECTION 5, That as a result of said election, a majority
of the qualified voters voting on said measure above described, did
not vote in favor thereof, and that said proposition was not carried,
and shall not be deemed adopted.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of
the City Council of said City, a statement of the result of said
elect ion, showing;
a) The whole number of votes cast in the city;
b) The measure voted upon;
c) The number of votes given at each precinct
for and against such measure.
d) The number of votes given in the city for
and against such measure.

SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and shall cause a record thereof to
be entered upon the minutes of this meeting.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 27th day of august. 1965.
