HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963 136 CC RESO1963 136 CC RESO ZX ZP>ô8RESOLUTION NO. 65-136 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGE AND THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE FOR LEGAL HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME WORK IN SAID CiTY, FOR CERTAIN CRAFTS OR TYPES OR WORKMEN. Assessment District No. 62-A-I) WHEREAS, this City Council has by its Resolution No.-63-!^U approved the report of the City Engineer on that certain work or improvement being more particularly described in its Resolution of Intention, Resolu- tion No. 63-132 in proceedings pursuant to the Municipal Improvement Act of 1915, Division 12 of the Streets and Highways Code; and WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the genera] pre- vailing rate of per diem wages Including employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation and similar purposes) in the locality in wh i ch sa id work is to be performed for each craft or type of workman needed to execute the contract for said work, and this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work in said locality for each craft or type of workman needed to execute said contract; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE. DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: SecHonI. The generd prevailing rates for overtime work in said local- ity for each craft or type of workman needed to execute said contract are determined to be as follows: CARPENTERS: Double t?we for all overtime. CEMENT MASONS: Time and one-half for the first three hours after the regularly constituted straight time shift, and all other overtime shall be double time. LABORERS: Time and one-half except Sundays and holidays which are double time. OPERATING ENGINEERS: Time and one-half for the first three hours out- side regularly consti tuted shi ft; all addt tiona1 overtime shall be double time; Saturdays first eleven hours at time and one-half and any additional time at double time; qua- druple tirre for New Yea^s Day, Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and the first Saturday following the first Fiday in June and De- cember; double time for Veteran^s Day. TEAMSTERS: Time and one-half except Sundays and holidays which are doubIe time. ALL OTHER CRAFTS AND TYPES OF WORKMEN; Not less than one and one-half times the said prevailing hourly rate of wage.
