A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DENYING AN APPLI-
CATION FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
CP-18)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWSs
SECTION That the City Council of the City of
Baldwin PcirK does hereoy find, determine and declare as
followss
a) That an application was duly raaae for a
conditional use permit to construct and operate a motel in
a C 1 zone, on certain hereinafter described real property^
and
o) Tnat the said property to which the appli-
cation relates, is located at 3bl3 and 3014 North Maine
Avenue in the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles,
Stace of California, and is more particularly described as
followss
The Northerly 106 feet of Lot 20, and the
northerly 106 teec of the easterly 30 feet
of Lot 19, Block A" Tract No» 11224, as
shown on map recorded in Book 197 at Paye
21 et. seq. of Maps on file in the office
of the Recorder of said County; and
c) That the Planning Commission held a duly
noticed puoiic hearing upon said application, and by its
Resolution No, PC-63-133 recommended to the City Council
tnat the said application oe denied for the reasons
therein set forth; and
d) That che City Counil has conducted a duly
noticed public hearing with respect to said application,
and it appearing to the said Council that tne said appli-
cation should be denied for the following reasons?
1) Tnat the permit if issued, will not
be a compatible use with other existing and
potential uses within the general area involved
and
2) That the site is insufficient, and
inadequate in size and shape for the proposed
use, and
3) That the site does not have sufficient
access to streets and highways adequate in width
and pavement type to carry the quantity and
quality of traffic generated by the proposed use,
and

would have an adverse effect upon adjacent
properties and
e) Tnat members of the City Council have examined
the site and have concluded that the permit should be denied
for the reasons hereinabove set fortho
SECTION 2. That the conditional use permit appli-
cation, as hereinabove desc^ib^d t>e, and the same hereby is,
denied, for the reasons set forth in this re solution„
SECTION 3. That the City Cleik shall certify to
the adoption of this resolution and forward copies hereof
to the Secretary of the Planning Commission and to the ap-
plicant,
