A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECOM-
MENDING LEGISLATION WHICH WOULD FORCE SCHOOL
DISTRICTS TO PAY EXPENSES INCURRED FOR SCHOOL
CROSSING GUARD PROTECTION /
WHEREAS, certain school districts serve punils
residing n county territory and in different cities/f
WHEREAS, the cost of providing crossing guards
is not, therefore, appropriately a cost which should be
borne by any\one city; and /
WHEREAS, such cost should be spread throughout
the school district for which the protection service is
rendered; \ /
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council the City
of Baldwin Park doas resolve and order as follows s
SECTION l.\ The expense of providing school
crossing guards shoul\i be borne by school districts and
appropriate legislation should be adopted to so require•
