A RESOLUTION CF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PAW, COUNTY OP LOS ANGELES, STATE OP
CALIFORNIA, MAKING FINDINGS AND OVERRULING PROTESTS
AND OBJECTIONS AND ORDERING THE SUPER! WENDEW OP
STREETS OP THE CITY OP BALDWIN PARK TO CONSTRUCT
CURBS, GUTTERS AND SIDEWALKS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE CITY OP BALDWIN PARK STANDARD PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS CONFORMING WITH EXISTING CURBS,
GUTTERS AND SIDEWALKS CONSTRJCTED UPON THEM
PACING THE SOUTH SIDE OF FOSTER AVENUE BETWEEN
BALDWIN PARK BOULEVARD AND FRAZIER.
V/HEREAS, pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7,
Part 3, Chapter 27 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
having to do with the construction of sidewalks, gutters and curbs in front of
property, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park in Resolution No..,66-<l
made a finding that more than 50% of the lots facing the south side of Foster
Avenue between Baldwin Park Boulevard and Frazier.
Had completed curbs, gutters and sidewalks in front of them; and
VJHEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No.66-41 directed the
Superintendent of Streets to notify owners or possessors of the lots within
this block which did not have curbs, gutters and sidewalks on them to con-
struct them according to the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifi—
cations; and thereupon, the Superintendent of Streets, in compliance with this
resolution mailed and posted-gaid notices which described the work to be done
and specified that on the^'i'L-.day March 66 at 8^00 M,_
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, located at 14405 East Pacific Avenue,
Baldwin Park, California, a hearing would be held by the Council of the City
of Baldwin Park to pass upon objections or protests, if any, to notices of
work to be done by the owners of property involved or other interested person'"
and
JHEREASp protests being made at this hearing held et the
above designated time and place,
N0^, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as follows:
SECTION I, That alt protests and objections are hereby overruled.
SECTION 2. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Baldwin Fail-
is hereby ordered to construct curbs, gutters and sidewalks in accordance witu
the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications on the front of ali
lots facing the south side of Foster Avenue between Baldwin Park Boulevard and
Frazier.
which have not been constructed or upon which construction has not been com-
menced and diligently worked upon within sixty 601 days of the mailing and
posting of the notices to construct; and that v^hen this work is completed he
shall notify the City Council of the fact of completion so that a date for a
hearing of protests to the report of the completed work may be set; and upon
completion of the work he shall prepare a report of wrk which will include
I) work done 2) cost 3) description of the property in front of which it
was done and 41 the assessment against each lot or parcel which may include c-i
number of parcels of property whether contiguous to each other or not, which
report shall be made ready to be presented to the Council at the date set or
the hearing on the report of the completed work,
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adopt!or'
of this resolution and it shall thereupon take effect and be in force.
