A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DENYING A
TENTATIVE TRACT MAP FOR TRACT NO. 24293.
APPLICANT: PRUDENTIAL SAVINGS AND
LOAN COMPANY; AGENT, CALIFORNIA PROPERTY
BROKERS. LTD.)
THF CITY COUNCIL OF THE CtTY OF BALDWIN PARK DOCS RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a. That the owners of certain real property located in
the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, as
shown on the Tentative Tract Map for Tract No. 24295 have
requested approval of said map for single family develop-
ment; and
b. That the Planning Commission considered the same at a
duly noticed public hearing on September 9, 1965 and
heard testimony in connection with said map; and
c. That the hearing was continued until December 1, 1965
at the request of the applicant; and
d. That an extension of time to February, 1966 was again
requested and granted; and
e. That the Planning Commission at their regular meeting on
the 23rd day of February, 1966, considered the request
of the applicant for an indefinite extension of time for
said Tentative Tract No. 24295 and determined that the
request was unreasonable and a decision was rendered to
recommend denial of the Tentative Tract to the City Counci
SECTION 2. That the Tentative Tract Map for Tract No. 24295, as
described above be, and the same hereby is, recommended for denial, for
the to)lowing reasons:
a. That the approval of said map, as proposed, would not be
consistent with the General Plan; and
b. That the area where the Tentative Tract was contemplated
is neither suited nor zoned for single family residential
type development; and
c. That the highest and best use of the land is for Industrie
type use; and
d. That the approval of the map as proposed would not be con-
sistent with the adjacent and abutting industrial zoned
properties located in the City of Irwindale.
SECTION 5. That the City Cterk shell certify to the adoption cf
this resolution and forward a copy hereof to the Secretary of thc-
Pionning CoimiissTon and the Subdivider.
PASSED AND APPROVED on this 16th____day of March t966.
