RESOLITTION NO. 66-85
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, COUNTY OF
LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
MAKING FINDINGS AND OVERRULING PRO-
TESTS AND OBJECTIONS AND ORDERING THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK TO CONSTRUCT SIDEWALKS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
CONFOWING WITH EXISTING SIDEWALKS
CONSTRUCTED UPON THEM FACING THE
EASTERLY SIDE OF BALDWIN PARK BOULEVARD
BETWEEN FOSTER AVENUE AW MERGED AVENUE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911. Division 7» Part 5,
Chapter 27 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, having
to do with the construction of sidewalks, in front of property, the City
Council of the City of Baldwin Park In Resolution No, 66""^ made a finding
that more than 50^ of the lots facing the Easterly side o? Baldwin Park
Boulevard between Foster Avenue and Merced Avenue, had completed sidewalks in
front of them; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No. 66-5U directed the
Superintendent of Streets to notify owners or possessors of the lots within
this block which did not have sidewalks on them to construct them according to
the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications^ and thereupon,
the Superintendent of Streets, In compliance with this resolution mailed and
posted said notices which described the work to be done and specified that on
the 6th day of Apr! I 1966, at SiOQ P.M, In the Council Chambers In the
City Hall, located at 12^05 E« Pad fie Avenue, Baldwin Park, California, a
hearing would be held by the Council of the City of Baldwin Perk to pass upon
objections or protests. If any, to notices of work to be done by the owners of
property Involved or other interested persons; and
WHEREAS, 0 protests being made at this hearing held at the above
designated time and place.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as followsi
Section I. That ail protests and objections are hereby overruled*
Section 2. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Baldwin Park
is hereby ordered to construct sidewalks In accordance with the City of Baldwin
Park standard plans and specificettons on the front of all lots facing the
Easterly side of Baldwin Park Boulevard between Foster Avenue and Merced Avenue,
which hove not been constructed or upon which construction has not been com-
menced and diligently worked upon within sixty 60) days of the mailing and
posting of the notices to construct; and that when this work Is completed he
shall notify the City Council of the fact of completion so that a date for a
hearing of protests to the report of the completed work may be set; end upon
completion of the work he shall prepare a report of work which will Include
0) work done 2) cost 5) description of the property In front of which it
was done and 14.) the assessment against each lot or parcel whtch may Include
a number of parcels of property whether contiguous to each other or not,
which report shall be made ready to be presented to the Council at the date
set for the hearing on the report of the completed work.
Section 3« The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this resolution and It shall thereupon take effect and be In force.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of Apr II 1966.
