HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966 097 CC RESO1966 097 CC RESOxJÖRESOLUTION NO. 66-97 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, COUMTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, MAKING FINDINGS AND OVERRULING PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS AND ORDERING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK TO CONSTRUCT CURBS. GUTTERS AND SIDEWALKS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS CONFORMING WITH EXISTING CURBS, GUTTERS AND SIDEWALKS CONSTRUCTED UPON THEM FACING SOUTHEAST SIDE OF VINELAND AVENUE BETWEEN CLOVERS IDE STREET AND CLYDE- WOOD STREET. WHEREAS, pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911» Division 7> Pa1"1' 5> Chapter 2? of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, having to do with the construction of sidewalks, gutters and curbs in front of property, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park In Resolution No* 66-6^ roade a finding that more than 50?S of the lots facing southeast side of Vineland Avenue between CloversSde Street and Clydewood Street. had completed curbs, gutters and sidewalks In front of them; and WHEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No. 66-63 directed the Superintendent of Streets to notify owners or possessors of the lots within this block which did not have curbs, gutters and sidewalks on them to construct them according to the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specif leaf ions 5 and thereupon, the Superintendent of Streets, In compliance with this resolution mailed and posted said notices which described the work to be done and specified that on the 20th day of Apri I 1966 at 8;OOP.M, in the Counci I Chambers In the City Hall, located at lUi05 East PacFfie Avenue, Baldwin Park, California a hearing would be held by the Council of the City of Baldwin Park to pass upon objections or protests. If any, to notices of work to be done by the owners of property involved or other interested persons; and WHEREAS, 0 protests being made at this hearing held at the above designated time and place* NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park as follows: SECTION 1, That all protests and objections are hereby overruled. SECTION 2, The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Baldwin P&rk is hereby ordered to construct curbs, gutters and sidewalks in accordance with the City of Baldwin park standard plans and specifications on the front of all lots facing southeast side of Vineland Avenue between Cloverside Street and Clydewood Street. which have not been constructed or upon which construction has not been commenced and diligently worked upon within sixty 60) days of the mailing and posting of the notices to constructs end that when thts work Is completed he shall notify the City Council of the fact of completion so that a date for a hearing of protests to the report of the completed work may be set; and upon completion of the work he shall prepare a report of work which will Include l) work done 2) cost 5) description of the property In front of which it was done and k) the as- sessment against each lot or parcel which may Include a number of parcels of pro» perty whether contiguous to each other or not, which report shall be made ready to be presented to the Council at the date set for the hearing on the report of the completed work. SECTION 5, The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and It shall thereupon take effect and be In force. APPROVED and.
