PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS AIO ORDERING THE
SUPERINTENDED OF STREETS OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK TO CONSTRUCT CURBS AF€> GITTERS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF BALDV/IN PA^<
STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS CONFORMING

UPON THEM FACING THE WEST SIDE OF WONTEREY
AVENUE BETWEEN RAMONA BOULEVARD AND FRAZIER
STREET
WHEREAS, pursuant to the imprwement Act of 1911, Division 7,
part 5, Chapter 27 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, having to do with the construction of gutter* and curbs in
front of property, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park,in
Resolution No. b6-96 made a finding that more than 50% of the lots
facing the westside of ttonterey Avenue between Ramona Boulevard and
Frazier Street
Had completed curbs and gutters in front of them; and
V/HEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No. 66-96 directed
the Superintendent of Streets to notify owners or possessors of the lots
within this block which did not have curbs and gutters on them to construct
them according to the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications;
and thereupon, the Superintendent of Streets, in compliance with this
resolution mailed and posted said notices which described the work to be
done and specified that on the lsth day of ay_____, 1966
at SsQO^pjV^ jn the Council Chambers in the City Hall, located at
t4403 East Pacific Avenue, Baldwin Park, California, a hearing would be
held by the Council of the City of Baldwin Park to pass upon objections
or protests, if any, to notices of work to be done by the owners of pro-
perty involved or other interested persons; and
VJHEREASp 0 protests being made at this hearing held
at the above designated time and place,
N07, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as follows:
SECTION I, That all protests and objections are hereby overruled.
SECTION 2, The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Baldwin
Park Is hereby ordered to construct curbs and gutters in accordance with the
City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications on the front of all
lots facing the west side of Monterey Avenue between Ramona Boulevard and
Frazier Street
which have not been constructed or upon which construction has not been com-
menced and diligently worked upon within sixty 160) days of the mailing and
posting of the notices to construct; and that v^hen this work is completed
he shall notify the City Council of the fact of completion so that a date for
a hearing of protests to the report of the completed work may be set; and
upon completion of the work he shall prepare a report of work which will
include I) work done 2) co'.-t 5) description of the property in front of
which it was done and 4) the assessment against each tot or parcel which
may include a number of parcels of property whether contiguous to each other
or not, v^iich report shall be made ready to be presented to the Council at the
date set for the hearing on the report of the completed vwrk,
SECTION 5, The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this resolution and it shall thereupon take effect and be in force.
