A RESOLUTION OF THE CtTY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PAW, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES^ STATE OF
CALIFORNIA^ MAKING FINDINGS AND OVERFULtNG
PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS AND ORDERING THE
SUPERINTENDED OF STREETS OF THE CITY OF
BALDV/IN PARK TO CONSTRUCT CURBS AM) GUTTERS
IN ACCORDANCE W»TH E CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS CONFORMING
V/ITH EXISTING CURBS AND GUTTERS CONSTRUCTED
UPON THEM FACING SOUTH SIDE OF ESTELLA STREET
BETWEEN MAINE AVENUE AND PHELAN AVENUE
WHEREAS, pursuant to the imprwement Act of 1911, Division 7,
part 5, Chapter 27 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, having to do with the construction of flutter* and curbs in
front of property, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park,in
Resolution No.66-116 made a finding that more than 50% of the tots
facing south side of Estella Street between Maine Avenue and Phelan
Avenue
Had completed curbs and gutters in front of them; and
V/HEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No. 66"116 directed
the Superintendent of Streets to notify owners or possessors of the tots
within this block which did not have curbs and gutters on them to construct
them according to the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications;
and thereupon, the Superintendent of Streets, in compliance with this
resolution mailed and posted said notices which described the work to be
done and specified that on the 1st day of____^yne___, 19 66
at 8; 00 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, located at
f4405 East Pacific Avenue, Baldwin Park, California, a hearing would be
he(d by the Council of the City of Baldwin Park to pass upon objections
or protests, if any, to notices of work to be done by the owners of pro-
perty involved or other interested persons; and
VJHEREASp protests being made at this hearing held
at the above designated time and place,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as follows:
SECTION I, That all protests and objections are hereby overruled.
SECTION 2. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Baldwin
Park Is hereby ordered to construct curbs and gutters in accordance with the
City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications on the front of all
lots facing south side of Estella Street between Matne Avenue and Phelan
Avenue
which have not been constructed or upon which construction has not been com-
menced and diligently worked upon within sixty 160) days of the mailing and
posting of the notices to construct; and that when this work is completed
he shaft notify the City Council of the fact of completion so that a date for
a hearing of protests to the report of the completed vwrk may be set; and
upon completion of the work he shall prepare a report of work which will
include 1) work done 2) co-:t 5) description of the property in front of
which it was done and 4) the assessment against each lot or parcel which
may include a number of parcels of property whether contiguous to each other
or not, v^ich report shall be made ready to be presented to the Council at the
date set for the hearing on the report of the completed work.
SECTION 5, The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this resolution and it shall thereupon take effect and be in force.
