A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
IN ORDER THAT THE CITY MAY BECOME A PART OF THE
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION lo That the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park has considered and examined the Joint Powers Agree-
ment and By-Laws relating to the organization and function of
that certain association known as Southern California Association
of Governments11, and has determined that It is In the pub Me
interest for the City of Baldwin Perk to become a member of said
Association, and a signatory to, said Joint Powers Agreement.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and empowered to execute the Joint Powers Agreement so
as to cause the City of Baldwin Park to become a member of the
Southern California Association of Governments.
SECTION 5, That the annual dues for said membership
shall be a proper charge against City Funds.
SECTION i+. That this resolution shall become effective
July I, 1966.
SECTION 5, That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and forward a certified copy hereof
to the L-<ecut!ve Director of the Southern California Association
of Governments.
