A RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTf OP
BAUWIN PARK, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, MAKING FINDINGS AND OVERRULING
PROTESTS AND OBJECTPONS AND ORDERING THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK TO CONSTRUCT CURBS AND GUTTERS IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK STANDARD PLWS AND
SPECIFICATIONS CONFORMING WITH EXISTING CURBS
AND GUTTERS CONSTRUCTED UPON THEM FACING
WESTERLY SIDE OF VINELAND AVENUE BETWEEN CENTRAL
AVENUE AND BADILLO STREET.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Improvement Act of 19N, Division 7, part 3,
Chapter 27 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, having
to do with the construcMon of gutters and curbs In front of property, the
City Council of the City of Baldwin Park In Resolution No. 66'l?lj. made a
finding that more than 50^ of the lots facing westerly side of vineiand Avenue
between Central Avenue and Badlllo Street.
had completed curbs and gutters In front of them; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No. 66-13^ directed
the Superintendent of Streets to notify owners or possessors of the lots
within this block which did not have curbs end gutters on them to construct
them according to the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications?
and thereupon, the Superintendent of Streets In compliance with this
resolution mailed and posted said notices which described the work to be done
and specified that on the l^th day of June 966, at 8; 00 P.M,^
In the Council Chambers In the City Hall, located at KAO? East Pacific Avenue,
Baldwin Park, California, a hearing would be held by the Council of the City of
Baldwin Park to pass upon objections or protests. If any, to notices of work
to be done by the owners of property Involved or other Interested persons? and
WHEREAS, protests being made at this hearing held at the
above designated time and place.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cl+y of
Baldwin Park as follows:
SECTION That aN protests and objections ore hereby overru/ed.
SECTION 2. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Baldwin
Perk is hereby ordered to construct curbs and gutters in accordance w?th the
City of Baldwin Park standard plans end specifications on the front of all
lots facing westerly side of Vineland Avenue between Central Avenue and
Bad?Ilo Street*
which have not been constructed or upon which construction hes not beeri
commenced and diligently worked upon within sixty 60) days of the maJJincj
and posting of tho notices to constructs and that when this work Is comp/eted,
he shall notify the City Council of the fact of completion so that a date for
a hearing of protests to the report of the completed work may be set; and upon
completion of the work he shall prepare a report of work which will Include 0
work done, 2) cost, 5) description of the property In front of which t was
done, and the assessment against each lot or parcel which may Include a
number of parcels of property whether contiguous to each other or not, which
report shall be made reedy to be presented to the Council at the da+e set for
the he&rSng on the report of the completed work.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shell certify to the passage and
adoption of Wa resolution and It shall thereupon take effect and be In force.
