A RESOLUTION OF THE CBTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, MAKING FINDINGS AND OVERRULING PROTESTS
AND OBJECTIONS AND ORDERING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF
STREETS OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK TO CONSTRUCT
SIDEWALKS AND DRIVE APPROACHES IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK STANDARD PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS CONFORMING WITH EXISTING SIDEWALKS
AND DRIVE APPROACHES CONSTRUCTED UPON THEM FACING
WEST SIDE OF LA RICA AVENUE BETWEEN RAMONA
BOULEVARD AND BALDWIN PARK BOULEVARD. 66-S-I?)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7»
Part 5? Chapter 27 o^ t^® Streets and Highways Code of the State of California
having to do with the construction of sidewalks and drive approaches in front
of property, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park In Resolution No.
66"-136 made a finding that more than 5°^ tb® l°^s facing west side of
La Rica Avenue between Ramona Boulevard and Baldwin Park Boulevard.
Had completed sidewalks and drive approaches In front of them; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No. 66^1^6 directed the
Super In tendont of Streets to notify owners or possessors of the lots within
this block which did not have sidewalks and drive approaches on them to construct
them according to the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications; and
thereupon, the Superintendent of Streets, in compliance with this resolution
mailed and posted said notices which described the work to be done and specified
that on the 15th day of June, 1966, at 8t00 P.M. in the Council Chambers In the
City Hall, located at 11^.05 East Pacific Avenue, Baldwin Park, California, a
hearing would be held by the Council of the City of Baldwin Park to pass upon
objections or protests, if any, to notices of work to be done by the owners of
property involved or other interested persons; and
WHEREAS, 2 protests being made at this hearing held at the above
designated time and place.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as follows?
SECTION I. That all protests and objections are hereby overruled.
SECTION 2, The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Baldwin
Park is hereby ordered to construct sidewalks and drfve approaches in accordance
with the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications on the front of
all lots facing west side of La Rica Avenue between Ramona Boulevard and Baldwin
Park Boulevard, which have not been constructed or upon which construction has
not been commenced and diligently worked upon within sixty 60) days of the
mailing and posting of the notices to construct; and that when this work Is
completed he shall notify the City Council of the fact of completion so that a
date for a hearing of protests to the report of the completed work may be set;
and upon completion of the work he shall prepare a report of work which will
include l) work done 2) cost 5) description of the property In front of
which it was done and li.) the assessment against each lot or parcel which may
Include a number of parcels of property whether contiguous to each other or
not, which report shall be made ready to be presented to the Council at the
date set for the hearing on the report of the completed work,
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution and it shall thereupon take effect and be In force.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of July, 1966,
