A RESOLUTION OF THE CITV COUNCIC OP TH£ CITY OF
BAUWIN PARK. COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, MAKING FINDINGS AND OVERRULING
PROTESTS ANO OBJECTIONS AND ORDERING THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK TO CONSTRUCT CURBS AND GUTTERS IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK STANDARD PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS CONFORMING WITH EXISTING CURBS
AND GUTTERS CONSTRUCT® UPON THW FACING EAST
SIDE OF BIG DALTON AVENUE BETWEEN CHANNING STREET
AND STOCKOALE STREET.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7, part 5,
Chapter 27 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. having
to do with the construcMon of gutters and curbs in front of property, the
C?ty Council of the City of Baldwin Park n Reaolution No. 66*137 made a
finding that more than yff» of the fots facing east side of Big Da I ton Avenue
between Channing Street and Stockdale Street,
had completed curbs and gutters In front of them; end
WHEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No. 66-137 directed
the Superintendent of Streets to notify owners or possessors of t)ie lots
within this block which did not have curbs and gutters on them to construct
them according to the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications?
and thereupon, the Superintendent of Streets In compliance with this
resolution mailed and posted said notices which described the work to be done
and specified that on the l^th day of June 1966, at 8:00 P.M,^
n the Council Chambers tn the City Hall, located at 12^0 5 East Pacific Avenue,
Baldwin Park. California, a hearing would be held by the Council of the City of
Baldwin Park to pass upon objections or protests. If any, to notices of work
to be done by the owners of property Involved or other interested persons; and
WHEREAS, 0 protests being made at this hearing held at th®
above designated time and place*
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cl+y of
Baldwin Park as follows?
SECTION I. That all protests and objections ftre hereby overruled.
SECTION 2. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Baldwin
Park ie hereby ordered to construct curbs and gutters in accordance w?th the
City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications on thff front of all
lots facing east side of Big Datton Avenue between Chann?ng Street and
Stockdale Street.
which have not been constructed or upon which construction has not beert
commenced end diligently worked upon within sixty 60) days of the me?1 ing
and posting of the notices to construct; and that when this work is completed,
he shaJt notify the City Council of the fact of completion so that a date for
a hearing of protests to the report of the completed work may be set; and upon
completion of the work he shall prepare a report of work which will include J)
work d6ne» 2) cost, 5) description of the property in front of which it was
done, end k) he assessment against each lot or parcel which may include a
number of parcels of property whether contiguous to each other or not, hich
y'eport shall be made ready to be presented to the Council at the rfa+e set for
the heerrSng on the report of the completed work,
SECTION 5, The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption f a resolution end It shall thereupon take effect and be In force.
