A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO RE-ZONE CERTAIN
HEREAFTER DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a) That the owners of certain real
property located at 15705-15725 Los
Angeles Street and i^lS Walnut Street
more particularly described as Lots
27, 26, 29 and 50 of Tract No. 1+62^
as per map recorded i n Map Book 68
at Page 55 of maps ft led in the
office of the Recorder of the County
of Los Angeles, heretofore made
application for a change in zon1ng
classification for said property,
from Zone R-5 0 Zone C-2; and
b) That the Planning Commission of said City
conducted a duly noticed public hearing upon
said application and by its Resolution
No. PC 66-20, recommended that said change
be granted; and
c) That the City Council conducted a duly
noticed public hearing upon said matter, and based
upon the evidence presented, and each member
of the Counci I being familiarwith the
property, determined that the public
i nterest, convenience and necessi ty would
require such recIassification, provided:
1) That the northerly 50' of said
property were dedicated for public
alley purposes and all uses appurte-
nant thereto; and
2) That prior to the expiration of a
period of one year from the date hereof,
or such additional time as may be
granted by the Council but not exceed-
ing an additional period of one year,
that the appIi cant submi t the necessary
plans for a commercial development upon
said property and obtain a bui Iding
permit therefor, and commence construc-
tion under said permit as issued in
accordance with the regulations
applicable to C-2 zoned property at
such time; and
d) That upon the applicants complying with the
condi ft ons as above set forth, the City Clerk
is instructed to place on the Ci ty Counci I agenda
for second reading and passage, an ordinance
rezoning the subject property in the manner
here i nabove descr i bed.

SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution, and shall forward a copy hereof to
the Chief Building Inspector, Secretary of the Planning Commission,
Chief Administrative Officer and the applicant.
PASSED and APPROVED this 6th day of July, 1966.
