A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK RENAMING
WALNUT PLACE TO BENWOOD STREET o
CASE NO, SP-2)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWSs
SECTION I, That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby find, determine and declare as foMowss
a) That pursuant to Saw, the Planning Commission on the 25th
day of May, 1966 conducted a duly noticed public hearing to consider
he renaming of Walnut Place, and
b) That the Planning Commission studied the arguments in
favor of the renaming of WaBnut Place? and
c) That as a result of said hearing, consideration of the
Staff and recommendations of the Engineer of the County of Los
Angeles, the Commission has foynd that the public interest requires
the renaming of Walnut PSaee to Bewood Street as shown on that
certain document entitled Specific Plan NOo 2\ prepared by the
Department of PBanning, which is on file with the City Clerk? and
d) That the City Council conducted a duly noticed hearing
on said matter, and determined that the pub He interest requires
approval of the Planning Commission's recommend ationo
SECTION 2» That the City Council hereby orders that certain streety
as described above, be, and hereby is, renamed as follows?
Walnut Place shaBB be renamed Benwood Streeto"
SECTION 5. That the City CSerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and forward copies hereof to the Secretary of the
Planning Commissiono
