A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK APPROVING AN AMENMENT TO THE
GENERAL PLAN CIRCULATION ELEMENT) INITIATED
BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO DESIGNATE A
SPECIFIC STREET PLAN WBTHIN THE AREA BOUNDED ON
THE NORTH BY RAMONA BOULEVARD, ON THE SOUTH BY
SALISBURY STREET, ON THE WEST BY BARNES AVENUE,
AND ON THE EAST BY RHODES LANE. CASE NO, Sp4^
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS«
SECTION lo That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find, determine and declare as follows?
a) That pursuant to law, the Planning Commission on the 25th d^y
of Way, 1966 conducted a duSy noticed public hearing to consider a specific
street plan for the area mentioned in the title of this resolution, and an
appropriate amendment to the Genera! PSan^ and
b) That as a result of said hearing, consideration of the Staff,
the Commission has found that the pubHc interest requires an amendment of the
General Plan as shown on that certain document entitSed Block Study D",
prepared by the Department of PBannings which l^. on file with the City Clerko
c) That the Rots ir? this area are four hundred 00) to six
hundred 600) feet in depth^ therefore,, there Is a need for an adequate street
plan which woutd permit the maximum development of the rear portions of these
deep lots in this areao
d) That the City Council conducted a duly noticed hearing on
said matter, and determined that the pubHc interest requires such amendment.,
SECTION 2o That the City CounciB does hereby order Director of
Planning to cause the General Plan to be amended to reflect the Specific
Street Plan as shown on said Block Study D^o
SECTION 5o That the City Coynci? shaN certify to the adoption
of this resolution and forward copies hereof to the Secretary of the Planning
Commission.
