A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY--4X,;_,..
BALDWIN PARK, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF,
CALIFORNIA, MAKING FINDINGS AND OVERRULING
PROTESTS. AND OBJECTIONS AND ORDERING THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK'TO CCRSTRUCT,CURBS AND GUTTERS IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK STANDARD PLANS
AND
SPECIFICATIONS CONFORMING WITH EXISTING CURBS
AND GUTTERS CONSTRUCTED UPON THEM FACING`THE
NORTH-
AVENUE
EAST SIDE OF PACIFIC AVENUE BETWEEN PUE
AND MAYLAND AVENUE 66-S-24)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the improvement Act of 1911
Division 7, part 3,
Chapter,27 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
o! California, having
to Ae.with the construction of gutters and curbs in front
of property., the
C$ty'Council of the City of Baldwin Park in Resolution No.
66-167 made a
finding that more than 50% of the lots facing the northeast
side of Pacific
Avenue between Puente Avenue and Mayland Avenue, had guaranteed
curbs and
gutters in front of them; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No.
66-167 directed
the Superintendent of Streets to notify owners or possessors of
the lots
within this block which did.not.have curbs and gutters on
them to construct
them according to the City of Baldwin Park standard plans
and specifications;
and thereupon, the Superintendent of Streets in compliance
with this
resolution mailed and posted said notices which described the.work
to be done
and specified that on the 20th day of July, 1966, at 8:00
P.M„ in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall, located at 14403 East Pacific
Avenue, Baldwin Park
California, a hearing would beheld by the Council of the
City of Baldwin
Park to pass upon objections or protests, if any, to notices
of work to be
done by the owners of property involved or other interested
persons; and
WHEREAS, 0 protests being made at this hearing
held at the
above designated time and place.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of
Baldfain Park as follows
SECTION I1. That all protests and objections
are hereby overruled.
SECTION 2. The Superintendent of Streets of the
City of Baldwin
Park is hereby ordered to construct curbs and gutters in
accordance with the
Cite of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications on the
front of all
lots facing the northeast side of,Pacific Avenue between Puente
Avenue and
Mayland Avenue, which have not been constructed or
upon which construction
has not been commenced and diligently worked upon within sixty
60) days of
the mailing and posting of the notices to construct; and
that when this
work is completed, he shall notify the City-Council of the
fact of completion
so that a date for a hearing of protests to the report
of the completed work
may be set; and upon completion of the work he shall prepare
a report of
work which will include 1) work done, 2) cost, 3) description
of the
property in front of which it was done, and 4) the
assessment against each
lot or parcel which may include a number of parcels of
property whether
contiguous to each other or not, which report shall be made
ready to be
presented to the Council at the date set for the hearing on
the report of the
completed work.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and'
adoption o£ this resolution and it shall thereupon take effect
and be in force.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of July, 1966.
