RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK ADOPTING CORRECTED MAP AND REPORT
OF ROUTES FOR SELECT SYST13A AND REQUESTING THAT
SUCH SYSTEM BE APPROVED BY THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Chapter 1852 of the Statutes of 1963 provides
for the establishment of a select system of City streets and County roads for
the purpose of expending thereon funds apportioned to the cities and counties
from the State highway fund and the expenditure of matching funds from other
sources; and
WHEREAS, Section 186.3 of the Streets and Highways Code, as adopted by
said Chapter 1852, provided for the submission by each city and county by
October 1, 1964, a map and report of select system routes to the California
Highway Commission for review and approval, said map and report were reviewed
and approved by the California Highway Commission; and
WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for review a map and
report prepared by the City Engineer to establish a revised select system for
the City of Baldwin Park; and
WHEREAS, the select system routes on said City map are coordinated with
local contiguous jurisdictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK, AS FOLLOWSs
to That certain map, entitled City of Baldwin Park Select System,"
dated August 5, 1914, revised July 20, 1966), and that certain report,
entitled MISER SELECT SYSTEQII REPORT m City of Baldwin Park," dated
July 20, 1966, copies of which are on file In the offices of the City Clerk
and City Engineer and incorporated herein as if set out in full herein, are
hereby approved by this Council as the select system of streets for the City
of Baldwin Park, under Section 186.3 of the Streets and Highways Coda.
2. The California Highway Commission is hereby requested to approve
the select system as shown on the above-mentioned map and described in the
above-mentioned report' subject to such modifications as the Commission finds
necessary.
3o The City Engineer is hereby directed to transmit certified copies
of this resolution with the maps rind reports to the District Engineer of the
Division of Highways, for transmittal to the California Highway Commission.
11. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
PASSED and APPROVED this 20th day of July, 1966.
