RESOLUTION No. 66-195
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, MAKINS FINDINGS AND OVERRULING PROTESTS
AND OBJECTIONS AND ORDERING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF
STREETS OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK TO CONSTRUCT
SIDEWALKS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS CONFORMING
WITH EXISTING SIDEWALKS CONSTRUCTED UPON TM
FACING THE NORTHEAST SIDE OF FOSTER AVENUE BETWEEN
FRAZIER STREET AND SPARLAND AVENUE. 66-s-26)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7, Part 3,
Chapter 27 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, having
to do with the construction of sidewalks in front of property, the City Counctl
of the City of Baldwin Park in Resolution No. 66-175 made a finding that more
then 50% of the lots- facing the northeast side of Faster Avenue between Frazier
Street and Sparland Avenue had completed sidewalks in front of them; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No. 66-175 directed the
Superintendent of Streets to notify owners or possessors of the lots within this
block which did not have sidewalks on them to construct them according to the
City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications; and thereupon, the
Superintendent of Streets, in compliance with this resolution mailed and posted
said notices which described the work is be done and specified that oh the 3rd
day of August, 1966, at 8s00 P.M. In the Council Chambers In the City Noll,
located at 14103 East Pacific Avenue, Baldwin Park, California, a hearing would
be hold by the Council of the City of Baldwin Park to pass upon objections or
protests, if any, to notices of work to be done by the owners of property involved
or other interested personsg and
WHEREAS, 0 protests being made at this hearing hold at the above
deslgnated time and place.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park as follows:
SECTION 1. That all protests and objections are hereby overruled.
SECTION 2. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Baldwin Park
is hereby order ad to construct sidewalks in accordance with the City of Baidwtn
Park standard plans and specifications on the front of all lots facing the north-
east side of Faster Avenue between Frazfer Street and Sparland Avenue which have
not boon constructed or upon which construction has not been commenced and
diligently worked upon within sixty 60)`days of the mailing and posting of the
notices to construct; and that when this work is completed he snail notify the
City Council of the fact of completion se that a date for a hearing of protests
to the report of the completed work may be set; and upon completion of the
work he shall prepare a report of work which will Include 1) work done 2) cost
3) description of the property In front of which it was done and 4) the assess-
ment against each lot or parcel which may include a number of parcels of preporN
whether contiguous to each other or not, whIeh report shall be made ready to be
presented to the Council at the date set for the hearing on the report of the
completed work.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this resolution and It shall thereupon take effect and be in force.
