A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ADOPTING A
SCHEDULE OF SEWER CONNECTION CHARGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY FIND,
RESOLVE AND ORDERS
SECTION 1. That whore public sewers have been constructed at no cost
to the abutting property owners, the public welfare neeossitiates the adoption of
equitable sewer connection charges.
SECTION 2. That the following fees are adopted as sower connection
chargess
a) An amount equal to $6.00 per front foot for each rectangular~
lot or parcel having an avoroge depth up to one hundred fifty 150)
feet.
b) Far rectangular lets or parcels in excess of one hundred
fifty 150) feet to depth an amount equal to the charge indicated
In a).abovo, plus one-half cent per square feet for the
additional area.
c) For lots or parcel* of an irregular shape with a front footage
of less then fift 50) feet the minimum connection charge shall be
$300.00 or four 4) cents per square feet, whichever to less.
d) For lots or parcels of an Irregular shape with a front footage
of more than fifty 50) feet the connection charge shall be four
IL) cents per square feet for the first 7,500 square foot, plus one-
half 2) cent per square feet for additional area.
SECTION 3, If a lot or parcel Is of such a size or shape that strict
adherence to the above mentioned provisions would require a property owner to
pay an amount not commonsursto with the benef$`ts to be received, the previsions
of this resolution as to amount to be charged may be modified as determined by
the City Council to obtain an amount commensurate with the benefits received.
SECTION 4. If the General Plan or any Precise Plan delineates a
portion of the property upon which the sewer connection charge is levied as a
future street at the time of such levy, the sewer connection charge may be
reduced by an amount determined by m'sltiplying the ratio of the future street
area to the total property area times the total connection charge. The reduction
may be refunded In cash to the person paying the sewer connection charge or may
be credited to such person or his assigns, the method of said reduction being at
the etfctlen of the Chief AdmtnIstrattvo Officer of the City.
SECTION 5. Resolution Number 61-153 is hereby repealed.
