A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK REQUESTING
PARTICIPATION BY THE LOS ANGELES
COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT IN THE IMPROVE-
MENT OF BALDWIN PARK BOULEVARD BETWEEN
MERCED AVENL''E AND RAMONA BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, Baldwin Park Boulevard is a major city
street in the Select System of streets of the City of Baldwin
Park, as approved by the State; and
WHEREAS, Baldwin Park Boulevard now serves the
City of Industry, Baldwin Park, and unicorporated County
Territory; and
WHEREAS, that portion of Baldwin Park Boulevard
from Merced Avenue to Ramona Boulevard, including inter-
sections, distant 0.57 miles, is most critically deficient
and a street of general County interest as shown in the
County and Regional Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park wishes to obtain
Sixty Thousand, Five Hundred and Twenty Dollars and Twenty-one
Cents $60,520.21) for the Baldwin Park Boulevard improvement
from the accumulated 3/16ths County Aid tax allocation for
Baldwin Park,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Baldwin Park as follows:
Section 1. That the City of Baldwin Park requests
the Los Angeles County Road Department to participate in the
improvement of Baldwin Park Boulevard, between Merced Avenue
and Ramona Boulevard as follows: Allocate a total of Sixty
Thousand, Five Hundred and Twenty Dollars and Twenty-one Cents
$60,520.21) from funds accumulated for use within Baldwin
Park, which funds accumulated for use within Baldwin Park,
which funds are to be used for the Baldwin Park Boulevard
project for the purpose of obtaining right of way and construction
of curbs, gutters, paving and work incidental thereto.
Section 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution and shall forward copies hereof
to the Chairman, and to each member of the Los Angeles County
Board of Supervisors, and the Road Commissioners of said County.
