A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, MAKING FINDINGS AND OVERRULING PROTESTS
AND OBJECTIONS AND ORDERING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF
STREETS OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK TO CONSTRUCT
CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDEWALK AND DRIVE APPROACH IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK STANDARD
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS CONFORMING WITH EXISTING
CURBS, GUTTERS, SIDEWALK AND DRIVE APPROACH CON-
STRUCTED UPON THEM FACING NORTHEAST SIDE OF
STEWART AVENUE BETWEEN BALDWIN PARK BOULEVARD
AND RAMONA BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7, Part 3, Chapter 27
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, having to do with the con-
struction of curbs, gutters, sidewalk and drive approach in front of property, the City
Council of the City of Baldwin Park in Resolution No. 66-224 made a finding that more than
50% of the lots facing Northeast side of Stewart Avenue between Baldwin Park Boulevard and
Ramona Boulevard, had completed curbs, gutters, sidewalk and drive approach in front of
them; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by said Resolution No. 66-224 directed the Superin-
tendent of Streets to notify owner or possessors of the lots within this block which did
not have curbs, gutters, sidewalk and drive approach on them to construct them according
to the City of Baldwin Park standard plans and specifications; and thereupon, the
Superintendent of Streets, in compliance with this resolution mailed and posted said
notices which described the work to be done and specified that on the 5th day of October,
1966, at 8:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, located at 14403 East
Pacific Avenue, Baldwin Park, California, a hearing would be held by the Council of the
City of Baldwin Park to pass upon objections or protests, if any, to notices of work to
be done by the owners of property involved or other interested persons; and
WHEREAS, 0 protests being made at this hearing held at the
above designated time and place.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
as follows:
SECTION 1. That all protests and objections are hereby overruled.
SECTION 2. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of Bald-win Park is hereby
ordered to construct curbs, gutters, sidewalk and drive approach in accordance with the
City of Bald in Park standard plans and specifications on the front of all lots facing
Northeast side of Stewart Avenue between Baldwin Park Boulevard and Ramona Boulevard
ruhich have not been constructed or upon which construction has not been commenced and
diligently worked upon within sixty 60) days of the mailing and posting of the notices
to construct; and that when this work is completed he shall notify the City Council of
the fact of completion so that a date for a hearing of protests to the report of the
completed work may be set; and upon completion of the work he shall prepare a report of
work which will include 1) work done 2) cost 3) description of the property in front of
which it was done and 4) the assessment against each lot or parcel which may include a
number of parcels of property whether contiguous to each other or not, which report shall
be made ready to be presented to the Council a+ the date set for the hearing on the report
of the completed work.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
resolution and it shall thereupon take effect and be in force.
