A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE CONSTRUC-
TION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT TO
SECTION 5870, ET SEQ., OF THE STREETS AND
HIGHWAYS CODE 66-S-43.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby find, determine, and declare as follows:
a) That pursuant to Section 5870, et seq. of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council has found that
more than fifty percent 50%) of the lots in the blocks designated as
follows:
1) East side of Landis Avenue between Gates Street and
School Street. 66-S-43)
have in place, or guaranteed, curbs, gutters, sidewalk and drive approach,
hereinafter improvements" and
b) That the City Council has initiated proceedings to cause
the construction of said improvements; and
c) That o protests were filed at the time set for the
hearing on said matter; and
d) That all said protests are hereby overruled; or
e) That the public interest, convenience and necessity require
the construction of said improvements.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent o€ Streets is hereby ordered
to construct said improvements above described, in accordance with the
City's standard plans and specifications therefor, in the areas above
described, in which said improvements have not been constructed within
the time permitted by law. If said improvements are constructed by the
Superintendent of Streets, he shall. prepare a Report of cost therefor, as
prescribed by law.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall forward a copy hereof to the said Superintendent.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of November 1966.
