RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF`BALDWIN PARK FINDING
AND DETERMINING THE' EXISTENCE OF
A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING
THE SAME ABATED. N-56)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
a. That pursuant to Section 3200 et seq of the Baldarin Park
Municipal Code, proceedings have been initiated to determine whether
certain premises, and buildings and structures thereon, constitute a
public nuisance; and
b. That the property, which is the subject of such proceedings
is located at: 12808 and 12810 Ramona Boulevard
That portion. of Rancho La Puente in the City of Baldwin Park,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded
in Book l pages 43 and 44 of Patents, in the office of the
recorder of said County described as follows:
Beginning at a point that is South 14 dog. 08' West 310 feet and
South 75 dog. 52' East 75 feet, thence North 14 dog. 08' East
to the southeasterly line of West Ramona Boulevard; thence
southwesterly thereon 85.63 feet;.thence South 14-dog. OS' West
to the point of beginning.
c. That a duly noticed public hearing having been conducted,
pursuant to Section 32.03 et seq of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, to
determine whether the buildings and structures on said property, in their
present state, constitute a public nuisance.; and
d. That as a result of the evidence presented at said hearing,
it was determined that the same does constitute a public nuisance, and
that the public interest requires- that the same be abated.
SECTION 2. That if the owners of said property, or others
having an interest therein, do not abate said nuisance by'removing the
buildings, structures and debris from said property, within ninety 90)
days hereof, the Chief Administrative officer is instructed to abate the
same, as provided in Section 32.08 et seq of the Baldwin Park Municipal
Code.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and forward copies hereof as prescribed by the Baldwin Park
Municipal Code.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 16th day of November 1966.

I. LOCATION: 12808 and 12810 Ramona Boulevard
II. LOT SIZE AND ZONING rectangular shaped lot 86 % 240)
III. DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION OF PREMISES:
The yards are littered with weeds, rags, papers, garbage, logs,
old lumber, abandoned furniture and appliances, and two junk
automobiles.
IV. INSPECTION REPORTS:
1. Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Unsafe buildings, accumulation of waste materials.
2. Los Angeles County Health Department.
Yards should be cleaned and buildings should be demolished.
3. Baldwin Park Police Department.
Numerous juveniles hanging around location, playing on old
vehicles and inside. Much debris in yard forcing pedestrians
to walk in roadway. Neighbors irritated about condition of
property.
4. Baldwin Park Planning Department.
Excessive litter, numerous vehicle storage in side and in the front
yard area. Nbc,provisions for off street parking.
5. Baldwin Park Building Department.
12808) Illegal construction, improper spacing of studs, rafters over spanned,
etc. The structure has deteriorated by reason of inadequate maintenance,
a hazard to safety.
12810) Illegal construction, with a possibility of termites. The building
constitutes a fire and health hazard and is a danger to safety.
