A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK,DECLARING
ITS INTENTION' TO-CAUSE CONSTRUCTION
OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT' TO
THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION-5870, ET.
SEC., OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA 66-S-59)
and 66-5-60)
The,City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby-find, determine and declare as follows;
a) That- more than fifty.'percent 50%) of the curb and
gutter has been constructed, or guaranteed, in the following
block:
1. North side of Valle Vista Avenue between Filhurst
Avenue and Center street 66-5-59)
b) That more than fifty percent 50%) of the: curb, gutter,
sidewalk and drive approach have been constructed, or
guaranteed, in.the following block:
1. East side of Foster Avenue between RaMona Boulevard
and Athol Street 66-S-60)
a) That it is the intention of the City Council to-cause
curb, gutter, sidewalk and.drive approach hereinafter improvements")
tolbe constructed, at the sole expense of the owners of properties-in
and along said above described area, pursuant to Section:5870, et. seq.,
of the'Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Streets.is:hereby in-
structed to mail and post notices: to construct said improvements, as
required: by law.
SECTION 3, That pur.suant.to said Section 5870, et. seq. the
City Council does hereby declare that, on the 18th day of January,
1967, at 8:00 P.M„ or as soon thereafter as:the matter can be,beard,
in,the Council Chambers, at 14403 East Pacific Avenue, Baldwin Park,
California, it will hear and pass upon any and all objections or protests
to the ordering,of the construction of said improvements.
SECTION 4. That all protests must be. in writing and filed.with
the City Clerk on or before the time set for hearing,of objections and
protests.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify.to the adoption
of this resolution, and shall forward copies hereof to the Superintendent
of Streets.
1966. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of December

2t is hereby the finding of the Street Superintendent that the
subject blocks have guaranteed over 50% of the indicated
construction in and along the following areas:
1. North side of Valle Vista Avenue between Filhurst
Avenue and Center Street 66-S-59) curb and
gutter)
2. East side of Foster Avenue between Ramona Boulevard
atd Athol Street 66-S-60) curb, gutter, sidewalk
and drive approach)
I hereby recommend that the attached Resolution be adopted by
the City Council setting a hearing date for January 18, 1967,
for hearing protests in regards to construction of this work.
