A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
ESTABLISHING AN ANNEXATION
PROCEDURAL COMMITTEE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council does hereby establish
an annexation committee which shall consist of the
following:
1) One 1) member from the City
Council, to be designated by
the Council;
2) One 1) member from the Planning
Commission, to be designated by
the Commission;
3) One 1) citizen member at large,
to be designated by the Council;
and
4) The Chief Administrative Officer
and the Director of Planning.
Appointments to fill the positions set forth in Subpara-
graphs 1), 2) and 3) hereof, shall be accomplished by
motion of the appointing body, providing that such appoint-
ees may be removed at any time by majority vote of such
appointing body. Said appointees shall serve for a term
of one year each and shall be subject to reappointment.
Section 2. That the Committee shall perform the follow-
ing duties:
1) To recommend to the City Council a policy
and program to guide future annexations;
and
2) To study and, thereafter recommend to the
City Council those areas which are con-
ducive to a logical pattern of annexation;
and
3) To establish informal contacts with neigh-
boring cities so as to recommend to the
City Council logical boundary lines for
those areas of possible annexation;
4) To establish informal preliminary contacts
with property owners located in those areas
proposed for annexation;
5) To recommend to the City Council proper
methods and timing for annexation procedures.

resolution and forward a copy hereof to the Secretary of the Planning
Commission.
